Cocktail Master Classes

  • We now host cocktail master-classes, offering the chance to learn tricks of the trade from our team of award winning mixologists plus have your very own concoction added to the hallowed cocktail ‘bible’ kept safely behind the bar.

    The £25 a head master-classes are held in the private pin-protected members’ Ballroom and accommodate groups from five to fifteen*. Student mixologists receive a champagne cocktail on arrival and then are taught to make (and drink!) a further two. Any masterpieces can be added to the Black Dog Ballroom ‘s cocktail bible so that they can be made at a moment’s notice on future visits to the bar.

    The masterclass, as featured on Manchester Confidential, is perfect for a corporate event, hen do or just a memorable night out with the girls.

    To further prove our credentials as the best place to learn about everything cocktail, bar manager Martin Taylor beat off competition from across Manchester with a triumphant win at the salubrious Keko Moku. Martin out-mixed 9 contenders from some of Manchester’s best bars including Obsidian, Epernay, Trof, and Albert’s Shed to become the regional winner of the Lamb’s Spiced Rum “Master of the Blend” competition.
